From single cell to human body

Dr Maja Adamska is living her childhood dream, studying sponges to gain insight into questions like ‘How does a complex animal arise from a single cell during embryonic development?’ and ‘How did the first multicellular animals arise from their single-cell ancestors?’.  She loves to share her enthusiasm for the beauty and complexity of animal life forms, and their development.
