Dr A K Koul Travel Grant
This travel grant is to provide impactful support for international undergraduate students whose home country is India, with their associated travel expenses to travel back to India. Funding for this prize has been provided by Ms Himangi Ticku in honour of the late Dr Autar Krishen Koul.
Applications are now open and will close on 24 January 2025.
Eligibility
The award is available each year to an ANU student who is:
(a) an international student from India
(b) enrolled in an undergraduate degree within the ANU College of Science and Medicine
Benefits
The value of the travel grant each year will be a one off payment up to $1000.
Selection
The award of the travel grant will be considered by a committee that will be based on responses to the criteria.
- Student is currently enrolled in an ANU College of Science and Medicine degree
- Student’s home country is India
- Is an undergraduate student
- Satisfactory academic progress
- Statement addressing how the travel grant will help and the impact it will have on your studies and wellbeing.

Applications addressing the selection section above in an expression of interest for the 2025 round of the Dr A K Koul Travel Grant are now open and will close on 24 January 2025. Please submit your responses to students.cos@anu.edu.au.
Recipient obligations
- If the student wishes to share a statement with the donor addressing how the travel grant will help and the impact it will have on their studies and wellbeing;
- Use the gift to travel from ANU back to India during the course of their studies.
