The ANU Graduate Certificate of Public Health provides you with a flexible education experience and acts as an entry point for more advanced coursework degree programs in Public Health.
This program is only open to Domestic students. Depending on the courses you take, you can complete this Graduate Certificate fully online.
You may be eligible for the Australian Government’s Job-ready Graduates Package subsidies, with Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) available.

Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate of Public Health with a GPA of 5.00/7.00 or above may be eligible to apply for admission to a Master degree offered by the College of Science and Medicine at the Australian National University. Courses successfully completed in the Graduate Certificate of Public Health may be credited towards a Master degree, where eligible.

Dr Matthew Kelly

Dr Kelly’s research is broadly based around health, epidemiological and demographic transitions in Southeast Asia. Of particular interest is the nutrition transition in the region towards diets high in sugars, fat and processed foods and associated rises in obesity and diet-related disease.

Notes to all applicants
The Graduate Certificate of Public Health can be completed full-time in the second half of 2021. Applicants should note that some of the courses listed in the Program Requirements have prerequisites which could reduce the number of courses available for enrolment. Please contact science.enquiries@anu.edu.au for further information.
Entry requirements
At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to most ANU programs is on a competitive basis. Therefore, meeting all admission requirements does not automatically guarantee entry.

Gather supporting documents
If you graduated from an Australian university, UAC will be able to access your results in most cases. However, you may be asked to provide transcripts or other documentation, so it is a good idea to prepare your records just in case.
You can still apply before you complete your bachelor degree if you are in your final year, and you must advise UAC in your application. You may need to provide a copy of your academic transcript directly to UAC as soon as you complete your degree. They will provide instructions during the application process.
