Talking mental health with Michael Blacksell
Summary
Talking about how you manage your own mental health and wellbeing can feel daunting, and it’s something we all put on the backburner. But instead of shying away from these conversations, staff at the ANU College of Science and Medicine are sharing what methods work for them.
Michael discusses how he takes the time to manage his mental health, especially as a manager and whilst facing change. For Michael, a key aspect of looking out for his team is paying attention to their actions and words so that he can support them.
On a personal level, Michael uses football and exercise to assist his mental health.
