A must-see documentary and panel discussion. 

Rheumatic heart disease continues to have a devastating impact on First Nations people in Australia, with young people in the Northern Territory being 122 times more likely to have rheumatic heart disease than other young Australians. On the eve of World Heart Day we explore the persisting and unjust burden of rheumatic heart disease for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia.

  • Dr Jason Agostino, GP Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service, Lecturer ANU School of Medicine and Psychology and senior medical advisor at NACCHO (National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation)
  • Dr Rosemary Wyber, Lead author of the RHD Endgame Strategy, General Practitioner and ANU Research Fellow for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cardiovascular health, and
  • Dr Stewart Sutherland, Lecturer, Indigenous Health, ANU School of Medicine and Psychology.
