Description

In 1924, the Commonwealth Solar Observatory was established, which turned into the Commonwealth Observatory and then Mount Stromlo Observatory. From the first atlas of the Sun, to optical munitions, observations of Sputnik, measuring the size of the Universe, as well as finding lots of surprises along the way, Mount Stromlo has been at the forefront of astronomical discoveries.
