Can I power my slot-car set with tiny humans? Is a solar-powered dragracer a good idea for indoor use? Does a normal car seriously toot out carbon dioxide emissions – and how? And where can I charge my Hoverboard? Canberra households and vehicles are going electric, and Dr Graham’s been busy in the GarageLabTM working on new, improved and much more electrifying experiments. Through amazing, interactive, fun, and sometimes explosive science demonstrations we’ll learn how fuels like natural gas can be replaced with electricity, plus discover groovy new low-emission high-fun tech like electric skateboards. This ANU Centre for the Public Awareness of Science community engagement project is presented with assistance from the ACT Government under the Community Zero Emissions Grants Program. Recommended for ages 6-14, but fun for all!
