2023 marks 50 Years of Earth Sciences at ANU when in 1973, with Anton L. Hales as its first director, the Department of Geophysics and Geochemistry became the new Research School of Earth Sciences.

We would like to invite all past and present staff, students and friends of RSES to celebrate our 50th. Our reunion events will include, symposium, panel discussions, poster sessions, a Gala Dinner, a big morning tea, memorabilia exhibitions, school and lab tours, tours of the new university precinct Kambri, and importantly plenty of social events.

The RSES 50th RSES Organising Committee is in the midst of finalising our event details and would ask you to please register your interest for updates, a schedule of events, and tickets. This is a free event with the exception of the Gala Dinner. Do you have any photos or memories you would like to share? Please send to communications.rses@anu.edu.au

Please feel free to share this invitation with RSES past staff, students, and friends. We look forward to seeing you in November!
