Interested to know about future of sustainable food production? Join the online seminar and Professor Robert Furbank and Dr Justin Borevitz will discuss how to improve production through innovation.
Professor Robert Furbank heads the Furbank Lab – Improving photosynthesis and crop yield, and is the Centre Director of Translational Photosynthesis, and a Program Leader in the ARC COE for Translational Photosynthesis.
Dr Justin Borevitz's research focuses on Genome Wide Association Studies of growth and developmental traits under simulated climates in plant models Arabidopsis and Brachypodium. Landscape genomics is being used in crops and Eucalyptus foundation species. The goal is to identify the genetic basis of climate adaptation to predict and select adaptive genotypes for changing and challenging growing conditions.
