ANU Master degrees are now available to everyone with a Bachelor degree. This guide will help you find the right degree for you and to submit an application.

Understand the entry requirements
Before you can apply for a master degree, you need to already hold or be about to complete a bachelor degree. Some programs require you to demonstrate a certain academic average, such as a credit or distinction average.
- Visit the University Calendar page to check the admission dates.
- Make sure you understand the admission requirements for your chosen degree by reading them carefully on Programs and Courses website.
- All applicants must meet the University’s English Language Admission Requirements for Students.
Current ANU students
Currently enrolled students wishing to change the program they are studying may apply for a program transfer. New students may not apply for a program transfer until they have studied for at least one semester/session. Find more information and forms on ANU website.
Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) applications
Please note the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) program has different entry requirements and application procedure. Visit the ANU Medical School website for more information.
Gather supporting documents
When you apply, you will need to upload clear, colour copies of your academic transcripts, graduation certificates, and proof of English Language proficiency. There is no need to certify your documents, however they must be original copies. ANU independently verifies the authenticity of your qualifications.
Submit your application
You will need to submit your application directly to the ANU. Find the program you want to study in the Program & Courses website, then click the Apply button to access the application portal.
Receive an offer
Applications to the University are assessed on an ongoing basis. The University will contact you about the result of your application as soon as possible. Applications generally take between 4-6 weeks to assess.
All offers are issued to your email address so it is important that you provide an email address in your application that you check regularly and you can easily access.
