Bio-Bounce, the biggest and bounciest plant cell
Come on a journey through Bio-Bounce, the world’s biggest and bounciest plant cell. Participate in hands-on activities and learn about the inner workings of a plant cell.
Participate in hands-on activities and learn about the inner workings of a plant cell, extract plant DNA and find out why scientists find it all so fascinating!Bio-Bounce is a giant, inflated cell that has been enlarged one million times so that you can explore where photosynthesis occurs and DNA is stored!
Using short activities, we explain to visitors what genes are, how they work, where photosynthesis happens and how this links to plant growth, energy systems, survival and crop yield.
We believe we can do this because it is all there for people to see, touch and explore.
The Bio-Bounce is free and is open from 10:00am - 4:30pm each day. For more information, visit plantenergy.edu.au and scienceweek.net.au
