New bachelor & master students

How to enrol and other useful information for new undergraduate and postgraduate students in the ANU Colleges of Science, Health & Medicine.

Welcome to the Australian National University!

If you have recently accepted your offer to ANU, you should have received a Welcome email with your ANU student ID and your password.

It is quite likely that you will have a few questions about how to enrol, who to speak to, what classes to take and much more which is why we have put together a short enrolment checklist (pdf, 136 KB) to help you along your way.

Seeking academic advice is not compulsory but it is strongly recommended especially if you are unsure about which courses to select this semester or need very specific academic advice with regards to courses such as Chemistry, Maths or Physics.

Talking to a Science Sub Dean or Science advisor before enrolling is particularly important if you have already undertaken tertiary studies and would like to discuss credit, as this will enable us make sure you are enrolling in courses suited to your needs and provide you with advice on how to make the enrolment process go smoothly.

You will also need to complete the remaining steps for enrolment as detailed on the Enrol for the first time as a coursework student page.

If you have any questions or queries or require any assistance during the enrolment process please do not hesitate to contact us at Science Central.

We look forward to meeting you!

Welcome to the Australian National University!

If you have recently accepted your offer to ANU, you should have received a Welcome email with your ANU student ID and your password. You may also have received an email from us here in the Joint Colleges of Science with further details regarding your program convener and contact details.

In brief, the first step to enrolling in your new program is to seek academic advice in order to discuss the courses you will be studying.

If you are unsure who to contact for advice, you can find this information on the Programs and Courses entry for your program. Ideally you should have sought advice and enrolled before Friday 17 February as classes start on Monday 20 February 2017.

If you have been granted credit in your letter of offer, or think you may be eligible for credit, it is important that you discuss this with your program convener when making your course choices. You will need to complete the application for credit transfer and take this with you to your meeting along with all relevant academic transcripts.

You may find you require a permission code to enrol in some courses. If the course is offered by the school running your program, please contact the School Administrator. If the course is offered by a different school, you will need to contact the relevant Course Convener as detailed on the Programs and Courses website.

Once you have enrolled in all courses please check the unit value for each course. If the unit value is incorrect email science.enquiries@anu.edu.au.

Do not forget to complete the remaining steps for enrolment detailed on the Enrol for the first time as a coursework student page. We have also put together a quickenrolment checklist (pdf, 140 KB) that you can work through.

If you have any questions or queries or require any assistance during the enrolment process please do not hesitate to contact at Science Central or your relevant School Administrator.

We look forward to meeting you!
