At ANU we offer students opportunities to study in Australia and internationally. We're part of an international network of universities, and as Australia's national university we're able to open doors to amazing destinations.

Outbound »

Study overseas for a semester or a year and count it towards your ANU program. You'll make friends, experience new cultures and travel, at the same time as you complete your degree.

Inbound »

As an international student you can spend one or two semesters at ANU and gain credit towards your degree at home while engaging in Australian life.

 

ANU Travel Grants & scholarships »

ANU offers various travel grants and scholarships that give students the chance to enrich their academic experience by spending time at international institutions and international conferences. Application is per the scholarship terms and conditions. Undergraduate, Masters Coursework and Higher Degree by Research students can all apply for these grants.

 

Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) / Bachelor of Science (Honours) »

This double degree is offered as a joint program with the National University of Singapore. It is a highly selective research based degree.

Students spend their first three semesters at their home university, the next three semesters at their international host university, and then the final two semesters back at their home university finalising their thesis.

 

Doctor of Philosophy in Physics »

This PhD is offered as a joint program between the Research School of Physics & Engineering and the National University of Singapore. Students spend at least two semesters at their host university and all graduates will be issued with a joint testamur that can be conferred at either Australia or Singapore.

 

International Alliance of Research Universities programs »

ANU is the only Australian member of the elite International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), which represents an alliance of ten of the world's best research universities. ANU students can participate in IARU's annual global summer program as well as summer internship courses, living and studying at other IARU member universities for several weeks.

 

Other college courses

We offer various courses that involve fieldwork or study abroad; the Vietnam field school involves two weeks of field world in Vietnam, participants in climate change courses have the opportunity to travel as part of the ANU delegation to the United Nations Climate Change conferences, ect.
