Student Profile - Rong Shang
Summer Scholar, 2009
Rong has already recommended the Summer Scholar Program to her friends because "it is a really good university with nice people who are very professional and patient with students".

Rong's Summer Research Project involved synthesising boron-substituted unsaturated ligands in the Hill group. She has previously completed her BSc(Hons) at the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).

Rong's Summer Research Project has allowed her to increase her theoretical and experimental knowledge and use different laboratory equipment, such as a glove box (pictured). Rong has enjoyed her time in Canberra so much that she has continued on as a PhD student working with Boron in the Hill group.
