I would like to do a post doctorate in the US.

Going to conferences. It's great to see what groups at other universities are working on, especially when it has relevance to my own project. I've been given some good advice this way.
Why would you recommend this program to others?
I think it would be a good experience even for someone who does not want a career in academia. Undertaking a three-year project has really taught me to stay on top of my motivation and organization. And of course it's not all work and no play!
Benefits of being at ANU / life in Canberra?
People say Canberra is quiet but I disagree. There's usually something going on at the RSC or on campus. I also like being able to get around town on a push-bike.
